River4Ward Melbourne

I had the privilege to attend River4Ward yesterday – a star-studded charity luncheon organised by Sony Foundation raising money for the Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre at Crown Melbourne yesterday.

John Farnham, Jessica Mauboy, Nathaniel, Stan Walker, Human Nature, hosts Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Ben Fordham and Giaan Rooney were among those who attended.

As a guest of Paspaley, we were treated to a glass of Champagne at their boutique for a private viewing of their collection.

I tried on a pendant with a design inspired by an olive tree branch and it was really underestatedly beautiful. They even offered to consign it for me to wear for the luncheon which I’ve kindly declined as I was rather happy with my own south sea pearl pendant.

We thoroughly enjoyed the company of Paspaley’s general manager, Richard, who explained the story behind their beautiful Lavalier collection and offered us a private tour of their pearl vault in Sydney.

Back to the luncheon, Jessica Maulboy arrived in a helicopter and gave us a kick-ass performance. Once again, I was blown away by her sensational voice and her effortless live performance. Nathaniel, Stan Walker and Human Nature also took the stage as the waiters brought out a 3 course meal prepared by celebrity chefs at crown (Neil Perry, John Lawson and Gauillaume Brahimi).

A big Thank you to my beautiful girlfriend Julie for taking me as her plus one on the occasion. It was such a wonderful afternoon spent for a meaningful cause.
