Okay, I’m a little bit biased here. But how can I not write a post about my dear friend Yijia’s new culinary venture in Hong Kong (my home town) that does modern Japanese tapas (my favourite).

tabibito opened only few months ago but has already attracted write-ups in Asia Tatler, TimeOut as well as overwhelmingly positive reviews from fellow diners on Trip Advisor and Open Rice.

With its stylishly minimalist decor, chic location, fun Japanese tapas menu and intimate atmosphere (this urban nook hosts exactly 26 diners – not a single more!), what’s not to love about this place?

 

 

 

 

I dare say that we tried almost every item on the menu that night – they are all delicious and unique in its own way. But here are my picks:

As I mentioned before, the capacity of this joint is limited. So make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment!
